The nine metre line is another arcing dotted line extending nine metres from the goal, marking where an attacking team resumes play after being fouled inside the line. It is also called the "free-throw line".
So whenever an attacking player is fouled inside the 9 metre line i.e. between the 6 metre and 9 metre area, the free throw should be taken at the 9 metre line eventhough the player is being fouled inside the area.
